The Ragged Old Flag was written and performed by Johnny Cash. My father, Zack Hager, a WWII veteran and now 85 years old, has been sharing his version for nearly twenty years.
On March 6, 2007 my father was to sing the song at Josh's service. Dad was emotionally taken and sang only the last portion. This past July 4th, he did dedicate the song and this recording is from that service.
My father pinned the Ranger tab on Josh. God grant us all the courage and dedication my son and father displayed in their respective service to our country and to freedom.
